Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Marriage Licence Obtained
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon seemingly indeed got married. People magazine is reporting that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have obtained a marriage license on the Caribbean island of Eleuthera.
According to marriage requirements for the Bahamas, a couple must be in the country for at least 48 hours, be over the age of 16 and have obtained a valid marriage license within 90 days, explains Monique Gomez, a Bahamian attorney in Nassau who specializes in family law.
The source says that Carey did obtain a license in Eleuthera within that time period. And clarifies Gomez, "The minister would make sure [the license] goes into the registry. It's still a valid marriage even if it's not filed. Anywhere in the world."
In such a way that Mariah Carey tied the knot with 11-years younger actor Nick Cannon without prenup, we sensed that the platinum pop diva would some day lose her huge properties if Nick Cannon dirvorced her.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reportedly obtained a marriage license in the Caribbean. The couple reportedly tied the knot in a small ceremony at the singer’s private estate off the Caribbean island of Eleuthera.
A relative of Cannon’s also confirms the wedding. “He called and told us all about it,” Linda Cannon told People magazine.
This is the first marriage for Cannon, 27, and the second for Carey, 39.
